FASTER Saves Lives is excited to announce Ed Monk’s upcoming School- and Church-Focused Seminars on Active Shooters, with planning and training to help minimize the number of victims. These eye-opening, potentially life-saving seminars will take place on March 6 and 7, 2026, at The Makoy Event Center in Hilliard, OH. The event promises invaluable insight into Active Shooter incidents, making it an essential resource for school staff, school board members, SROs, parents, members of a church community, and anyone else concerned about their own safety and that of schoolchildren and other members of their congregation.

Ed Monk, author of the book “First 30 Seconds” (which has sold over 4,000 copies), has been researching and providing training on the Active Shooter threat for over 17 years. He speaks to law enforcement agencies, schools, universities, churches and businesses nationwide. He has been an invited speaker at numerous international and national conferences. Ed is a law enforcement officer, firearms trainer, retired Army Officer and former schoolteacher. His formal education includes a BS in US History from West Point, an MS in Education from Kansas State University, and a graduate of the US Army’s Command & General Staff College.
