The mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, has renewed the debate over whether teachers and other school personnel should be armed. Although the policy discussion continues, Ohio teachers already can take classes to learn how to defend themselves and their students if a threat arises. The Buckeye Firearms Foundation provides free training to teachers through the FASTER Program — Faculty / Administrator Safety Training & Emergency Response.
